令和6年能登半島地震の御見舞と早い復興を願います。 私は趣味としてDIYを楽しんでいて小さな物から大きな物まで修理したり作成したりしています。 (写真:梅津正道隊員撮影)We would like to express our condolences to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2020 and wish for a speedy recovery. I enjoy DIY as a hobby, repairing and creating things from small to large items. (Photo: Photographed by Masamichi Umezu)
I live in Sumiyoshi Ward, Osaka, but is this the right place to live? I am asking myself questions and asking questions with my wife. Candidate locations include Miyazaki, Amakusa, and Wakayama, places with beautiful and warm ocean views.
Things we need to think about include the Nankai Trough Earthquake (32m tsunami), flood damage and landslides due to global warming, and visits to medical institutions due to aging.
After retiring, I will work at Chirori Co., Ltd. It’s super close by, about 4 minutes walk from my house, so I can have home-cooked meals for lunch. I basically work two days a week, and I work in a flexible manner, with additional shifts available during busy periods. We are a family-run and honest company.
We sell items such as seven rings, charcoal, ashes, camping cooking utensils, and hearths. However, due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2020, the company that makes the seven rings and the diatomaceous earth cave were closed due to earthquake damage, so we are no longer able to sell seven rings.
The work includes assembling the irori hearth and shipping packages. The product I assembled was featured on BEPAL.
There is a 6 hour time difference with Japan. If you look at it from 3pm to 9pm, you should see a bright screen (August to May) From May to July, there is polar night, so it only gets light around 6pm. (When the weather is nice). If the weather is bad due to a blizzard, you may see outside lights to ensure safety.
(2013-2022) I will be working as a maintenance instructor at an aviation vocational school in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. I taught what I learned 30 years ago, but what I learned when I was young surprisingly stayed in my head. I will retire in 2022 at the age of 65. I served for 9 years.
The school’s classes mainly taught electrical work and avionics and electricity. Since I love DIY, I have created various teaching materials to use in class. There is no English translation below, but please take a look at the photos and enjoy.
